How old is the pub?

When was the extension built?

Are you a Freehouse/are you an Adnams pub?
Yes we are a freehouse, no were are not an Adnams pub although we stock some of their great Suffolk products.
What are/where are the coins in the beams?
They were left by American servicemen in world war 1 to pay for drinks on their return. They are just around the corner from the special boards.
When was the fire?
August 5th 2018
What are your opening times?
Sunday to Thursday 11-10, Friday and Saturday 11-11.
Are you doing food on Christmas Day/are you open on Christmas day?
No, we don’t do food but we are open for drinks 12-2. Try one of the other Deben Inns for Christmas lunch.
What time does your Sunday roast offer start?
4pm, it’s buy one get one half price.
How do you get to the Maybush?
Turn left out of the pub and stay on that road all the way to Waldringfield, take the right at the T junction on Mill Road and head down to the river, you can’t miss it.
How do you get to the Springs?
Turn left out of the pub, take the next left, then on your left almost immediately is the car park for the springs. Alternatively, if you walk out of the pub and follow the track at the top of the car park to the right, this will also take you through the springs.

9:45pm Sun – Thurs 10:45pm Friday and Saturday

We have one menu that runs all day with smaller options for a lighter meal

What are your specials?
They change daily to keep them as fresh as possible, you can call in the morning and we can tell you over the phone.
Do you do your Christmas Eve event?
Not anymore, food service all day with festive vibes.
Do you do alcohol free options?
Yes, we have various alcohol free options
Where’s the village hall/play park?
Turn right out of the car park and follow the road round to the left, it’s about 300 metres up the road on the left.
How many buses are there a day from the bus stop?
Twice a day 0936 to Ipswich – 1403 to Woodbridge
Are you dog friendly?
Yes, all well behaved dogs are welcome in our bar area. We were voted 4th in East Anglia in the Dog Buddy Pub Awards
Can I bring a birthday cake?
Yes, let us know when you arrive and we will bring your cake out when you are ready.
Do you host wedding/ private events?
Our restaurant area can be booked for larger bookings including buffets for wakes, however, we do not close the pub completely for private events. Email fox@debeninns.co.uk for enquiries.
Do you cater for Gulen Free, Dairy Free or Vegan?
Yes, we can cater for all dietary requirements. Just speak to one of our friendly team when you arrive.
Can you do a set menu for my party?

Do you accept large group bookings?
Yes, we can cater for large group bookings. For bookings over 20 people either call the pub on 01473 736307 or email fox@debeninns.co.uk
Disabled access?
Yes, we have access for wheelchairs through the double doors in the extension, and we have a separate disable toilet.
How do I buy a gift voucher?
You can buy gift vouchers online, on the app, over the phone, or they can be purchased over the bar at any of our inns
Do your gift vouchers expire?
They are valid for a year, but under certain circumstances these can be extended. Contact support@debeninns.co.uk if yours has very recently expired.
Baby changing?
Yes we have baby changing facilities
Wifi?
Yes we have free wifi for customer use
Contactless payment?
Yes we accept contactless payments including Apple Pay
Do you have accommodation?
Unfortunately we do not have accommodation at any of our inns
What time do you serve food?
We serve food every day from 12pm-9pm.
Do you have high chairs?
Yes just let us know when making a booking that you require one
