About Us
Deben Inns was started in 1992 while the Lomas family were running The Wilford Bridge at Melton.
The business acquired the lease of The Maybush Inn at Waldringfield in October 1997. The Butt & Oyster at Pin Mill was acquired in May 2001, The Fox at Newbourne then came on board during October 2005 and the most recent addition to the portfolio was The Plough & Sail at Snape Maltings in April 2007.
All of the properties have been subject to substantial investments in the infrastructure providing modern facilities in characterfull and tranquil settings.
Our ethos at Deben Inns is to run individual pub/restaurants of quality and value with the emphasis on good food and service in informal and pleasant surroundings.
Each business operates a different menu and each team of chef’s are encouraged to put their own ideas into action so as to keep the pub individual and not feel as if it is part of a large unwieldy chain. Local produce, Meats and Fish are used where possible and systems are used so as to prepare and deliver the food promptly and efficiently.
Real Ales and Fine Wines are also chosen to compliment our settings and menu’s. Beers and Wines are sourced predominantly from Adnams of Southwould.
All of the pubs welcome families and dog’s, cater for the disabled and have the benefit of superb al fresco dining facilities. |
